David Deane Real Estate’s Initial Problem:

In late 2020, the team at Australia’s number 1 Independent Agency (ratemyagent) were looking for ways to increase their brand awareness and lead generation on social media. Both for the office and for individual agent and Principal, Mark Rumsey.

The team had worked previously with iRealty, but were looking to take their resources to the next level and to build a tailored campaign leading up to the Christmas and New Year period to increase activity on their page over that time.

After completing two, eight week campaigns we sat down to catch up with David Deane Real Estate’s Marketing Manager, Andrea Buxton to discuss what they achieved.

David Deane Real Estate’s initial goals:
  1. Boost reach and engagement of the Facebook page over the holiday period.
  2. To increase lead generation and appraisal requests through social media
Proposed Strategy:

We proposed an eight week Brand Booster social media campaign for both the office and Mark. This strategy spanned both posting and targeted advertising to create a holistic approach that would increase engagement and consistency, while generating leads. 

The Campaign:

Over the eight weeks we crafted custom testimonials, sales results, suburb profiles and agent highlight posts. All functioning to highlight the success, consistency and community focus of the David Deane brand.

In conjunction with this schedule, sponsored campaigns were circulating behind the scenes, designed to generate sales leads.

The Results:

David Deane Real Estate’s office campaign achieved a reach of 22,000+, with 966 page views, 98 new page likes and 3 sales leads generated.

The engagement grew significantly compared to the previous year and the office saw major differences in the interactions on their page: 

“We noticed that the traffic picked up over Christmas, which is a usually touch and go time of year…There was a lot more than we anticipated coming through, tagging, sharing, commenting all increased.”

Mark saw similar success, achieving a reach of 29,000+, 330 page views and 123 new page likes. Mark also generated 9 sales leads over the course of the campaign.

What’s Next:

David Deane’s next goal is to continue the success of their recent campaigns. Buyer demand is considerable in the market currently, so winning more listings is a must.

Working with the iRealty team to create campaigns to build their brand presence on social media and to generate more leads will continue to be a priority in 2021.
