The Holiday season is fast approaching!

While most of us are shutting down the office and heading to spend some well earned time with the family, many of us are starting to think about what 2020 has in store.

Whether people are heading to the beach or having a quiet one at home this holiday, you may be surprised how successful marketing can be over this period. 

Did you know that Emails had a 12% higher open rate in the first week of January when compared to the week between Christmas and New Year?

Sending lists of properties out is fine to those we know (using iReatly’s algorithms) are in market and interested in property. However, Behaviour -triggered emails have 8x more clicks on average. 

This is so important as unsubscribe rates can also pick up in this New Year period if you are consistently sending to your entire database.

We are not saying that you can’t email your whole database. Rather, ensure the content you include in a newsletter is relevant. 

Given people are entering research mode there is no better time to send an email with a series of engaging and informative articles that continues to position you as a property and area expert. 

We do this for agents as a part of our Digital Marketing (DME) service, but for our clients that build their own e-newsletters it is easy to build the email prior to shutting down the office and scheduled to be sent out in the first week of January.

What do we suggest? 

Welcome your contacts to 2020. If you are wanting to send out an e-newsletter to your whole database keep content engaging. Provide interesting information about market expectations for the year and reiterate your expertise with stand out results from 2019. Schedule this newsletter for the start of January (We suggest prior to the 9th). 

Set up some automation! You will have people in your database that are ready to make a move in the market and it is likely they are already engaging with your other content (Like your newsletter). iRealty, can send targeted emails to those who have opened and clicked on your content recently.
